Start with what the number describes.
Carat is a unit of weight
Diamond weight is often shown as “ct.” A carat figure on a jewelry listing needs a clear basis: it may describe a main stone, several stones together or the total for a pair.
Center stone and total weight
A ring with a center stone and smaller accent stones can have more than one useful weight figure. Read the label next to each figure. Do not assume the total diamond weight describes the center stone alone.
Pairs and sets
For earrings, check the sales unit and weight basis together. “Per earring” and “per pair” describe different quantities. For a bracelet or necklace, the figure may combine multiple stones.
When a detail is unclear
Ask about the exact SKU and option before payment. We avoid replacing an unknown weight basis with a guess.
